Welcome to NTW Studio!
HI, I'm Birchvyn aka Nancy Tarrant-Wood, (Artist/Auto body re finisher /gardener/general dabbler), I have been painting for over twenty years, much of what I have learned has been from some talented people, who I have been lucky enough to have taken classes from and much I have just played with and discovered some interesting things!
I paint under my chosen name instead of my Legal name, but here you will find both.
I have currently only had one art show in the Rural Roots series that was held by Athabasca University, back in the late '80, it was a group show and less stressful for me as I didn't have to be there! As in all artists, I am up on those canvases and made me nervous. Now I understand, (which is a gift of getting older) that everyone doesn't have to like my work, just looking for the reaction, good or bad!
I an artist (however, I have a couple of other jobs, that pay the bills lol) I consider art as passion and play!
I consider everything we do in life as art, I just use many mediums to make it so!
We (so far me) teach art classes in Watercolors, Arcylics and Oils in a cosy, peaceful, and beautiful Studio/Gallery near the Small Town of Athabasca in the province of Alberta, Canada.
We can also come to you, if you have a place to paint, and enough Students!
